I have just completed my treatment - and I am a totally different person to who I was when I walked through the gates. The foundation that Andy, Chris, Beth and all staff as well as my peers have given me is something I didn’t imagine was possible on arrival. Magic is done inside here with the lessons and workshops as good as my university and some. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their love and support - true family. I cannot reccomend PCP Luton enough if you need the help and most importantly, want the help - this is the place.

I can say that in the last month I have learnt more about myself than the past 30 years of my life. I have grown and become better than I was before my use. I can’t recommend this place enough, Andy and Chris have been absolutely great and supportive. All of the staff have been amazing and the peers are equally amazing. The focus on reconnecting with my family was amazing, I am proud of myself now.

My daughter has now been in rehab for seven weeks and, apart from a small setback during the first two weeks, she seems to be returning to the daughter we had not seen for a very long time. We cannot wait to visit her this coming weekend.

The team at PCP Luton work incredibly hard and their three-step approach to recovery has been excellent. Andy, in particular, stands out. Not only is he helping my daughter with her recovery, but he also regularly keeps in touch with us, which helps ease our worries and keeps us informed about her progress.

Their tireless work so far has given me hope that my daughter will finally be okay. I understand that it is still early days, but my wife, our other children, and I are very hopeful for the future.

Thank you to everyone at PCP Luton for the care, support, and dedication you have shown to both our daughter and our family. It means more than words can express.

My partner entered PCP in early January for four months of treatment after years of struggle and decline. We had reached a point where we were beginning to lose hope, as nothing up to that point seemed to be working, which was heartbreaking for all of us.

I was, and continue to be, absolutely astounded by the woman who came home. Not only is she thriving in her sobriety and embracing life every single day, but she is positive, confident, happy, and has a clear sense of who she is and where she wants to go. She is the complete opposite of the person who was admitted in January.

I cannot thank Andy and the entire team enough for their unwavering dedication to her recovery. They never gave up on her, and the care, support, and tools they provided have enabled her to completely transform her life.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I will be forever grateful for everything you have done for her, and for giving us back the person we thought we almost lost.

An amazing place!
I visited my relative in December 2025 and wasn't sure what to expect, I was welcomed by very friendly staff initially.
My relative had been there for 2 months and welcomed me with a big hug, the change in him was outstanding. He had made friends with others that were recovering too. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease and reassured that my relative was being looked after.
It's an amazing place full of good people and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rehabilitation centre to anyone. My relative is working hard and determined to succeed. He has so much support and guidance, that he is learning so much about himself. I will be forever grateful to everyone especially Andy for what he has done and the care and support provided. This really has been the lifeline he needed.
Amazing place!!!

I came into PCP completely broken and was in a crisis after cocaine took over me destroying my life with my family and friends I knew I couldn’t cope and needed help.

I heard good things about this rehab facility and my family booked me in for a 28 day residential therapy stay.

I didn’t know what to expect but knew I had no choice to regain my life.

The facility met with my expectations it was clean with comfortable accommodation.

I was very underweight upon arriving and within a week or so my weight started to increase due to a nutritious and well balanced food thanks to Antonio and Beth’s cooking.

I have lots of physical health issues and the nursing and support staff were very supportive and helpful attending to my needs. Big thanks to Akita for her caring and kindness.

The days were filled with group therapy and learning sessions taken by the two councillors.

I must thank both Andy and Chris who gave me a pretty hard time, although this became a huge benefit to me in terms of how much they helped me with my anxiety mental state and recovery, they are both passionate and dedicated in their approach.

My peers were fantastic I made some great new friends who were very supportive to me.

There was a wide range of programs which I found very beneficial.

I completed my months stay and came out a different person, clear headed and more focused that I had been for years!!

I can’t thank everyone at PCP for helping me get my life back and they also offer ongoing support and assistance going forward.

I must also thank Maria admin manager who has been very supportive and helpful during my stay!

I can highly recommend this facility to anyone else who needs help with addiction therapy.

Thank you all so very much 🙏.

I was also invited back for a reunion BBQ at PCP was lovely seeing everyone the food was delicious and a great vibe and atmosphere.

Everyone went to great effort to celebrate and make it a memorable experience.

Thank you all 👌🙏👍 xx

What Our Rehab Treatment Involves

Step 1: Free Confidential Assessment

We begin with a confidential assessment to understand your alcohol use, health, circumstances and recovery goals.

This helps us recommend the most suitable treatment plan and identify whether detox is required.

Step 2: Medically Supported Detox

If detox is needed, experienced professionals will monitor your withdrawal symptoms and overall wellbeing.

Medication may be provided when clinically appropriate to make the process safer and more comfortable.

Step 3: Therapy and Recovery Support

Treatment then focuses on the causes and patterns behind alcohol dependence.

Your programme may include one-to-one therapy, group sessions and recovery-focused workshops to help you build healthier coping strategies.

Step 4: Aftercare and Relapse Prevention

Recovery continues after residential treatment ends.

We provide ongoing aftercare, relapse prevention support and recovery planning to help you maintain progress and manage future triggers.

Why Rehab Today Is The Choice For You

Residential Rehab in Manchester

Residential rehab is not the only treatment route available. Outpatient addiction treatment in Manchester can suit people who need structured professional support while continuing to live at home and manage work, family, or other responsibilities.

We can help you understand whether residential or outpatient treatment is more appropriate based on your substance use, withdrawal risks, previous treatment history, home environment, and level of support. Residential rehab provides greater structure and separation from triggers, while outpatient care allows more flexibility.

The right level of care should be based on your clinical needs rather than convenience alone. If you are unsure which approach fits your situation, call us on 08000380480 for a confidential assessment.

Inpatient rehab

Is Rehab Worth It?

Rehabilitation for drug addiction is a vital step toward recovery and long-term health. Structured rehab programmes significantly improve outcomes for those struggling with substance misuse. Drug addiction is a chronic, relapsing condition affecting brain function and behaviour. Medical detox alone is rarely enough; comprehensive rehab addresses physical dependence, psychological triggers, and social factors.

Research from Public Health England shows that 40% to 60% of people completing residential rehab remain drug-free after one year, compared to much lower rates without treatment. Drug rehab in Manchester includes medically supervised detox to safely manage withdrawal, which is essential for substances like heroin or benzodiazepines.

Key components of effective rehab include:

  • Tailored therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and group support.

  • Development of coping strategies to reduce relapse risk.

  • Integrated treatment combining medical, psychological, and social support, as recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

Aftercare services provide relapse prevention and community reintegration support, which are crucial for sustained recovery. In Manchester, where drug-related harms are high, access to expert rehab services reduces healthcare burdens and improves lives.

Choosing rehab is an investment in health and future wellbeing, offering the best chance of lasting recovery.

Alcohol Detox in Manchester and When Medical Support Is Needed

Alcohol detox is often the first stage of treatment when physical dependence has developed. Stopping suddenly without medical guidance can cause withdrawal symptoms ranging from sweating, shaking, nausea, and anxiety to more serious complications in people with severe dependence.

Our assessment helps establish whether you need a medically supervised alcohol detox and what level of monitoring is appropriate. Where medication is clinically indicated, detox is planned around your drinking history, physical health, previous withdrawal experiences, and any medicines you already take.

A supervised detox deals with the physical dependence, but it is only one part of recovery. We normally combine detox with addiction therapy and relapse prevention so you can address the reasons behind your drinking as well as the withdrawal itself.

a relaxed and confidential admissions process

Addiction Counselling and Therapy in Manchester

Addiction counselling helps you understand the patterns, triggers, and behaviours that keep alcohol or drug use going. Rather than treating detox as the end of the process, we use therapy to address the psychological side of dependence and build practical ways to manage cravings and high-risk situations.

Treatment may include individual counselling, group therapy, cognitive behavioural approaches, relapse prevention work, and sessions focused on emotional regulation or underlying problems connected with substance use. The exact programme depends on your assessment and recovery needs.

Our aim is to help you leave treatment with more than a period of abstinence. You should understand your triggers, recognise early warning signs of relapse, and have a realistic plan for maintaining addiction recovery after structured treatment ends.

Drug Problems in Manchester & Need For Rehab

Manchester, like many major UK cities, faces complex drug problems affecting individuals and communities. Certain areas within the city experience disproportionately high levels of drug misuse and related harms, including Moss Side, Hulme, Cheetham Hill, Ancoats, and Openshaw. These neighbourhoods report higher incidences of drug-related crime, hospital admissions, and social challenges linked to substance abuse.

The North West region, encompassing Manchester, consistently records some of the highest drug-related hospital admissions and drug poisoning deaths in England and Wales. Substances commonly misused here include heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids, and new psychoactive substances. The health impact of drug misuse in these areas is severe, with many individuals experiencing physical dependence, mental health disorders, and increased overdose risk. Synthetic opioids and high-purity cocaine have contributed to a rise in drug-related deaths locally.

Drug markets in these communities also contribute to crime and violence, including drug-related violence and exploitation through county lines operations. Vulnerable groups, such as young people and those with co-occurring mental health conditions, are particularly at risk.

Effective drug treatment services tailored to the needs of Manchester’s diverse populations are essential. Medically supervised detoxification, combined with personalised therapy and ongoing aftercare, improves recovery outcomes and reduces relapse.

Rehab Today offers expert, evidence-based drug rehab programmes for individuals from Manchester’s affected areas and surrounding districts. Our holistic approach addresses both physical and psychological aspects of addiction, supporting long-term recovery.

If you or a loved one is struggling with drug dependence in Manchester, seeking professional treatment early can prevent addiction’s progression and help restore health, stability, and hope.

How long rehab takes largely depends on you as an individual, the nature of the help you need, and how long you have been struggling. Typically, rehab programmes take:

  • 30-days

  • 60-days

  • 90-days

The duration may vary depending on your situation.
