Chris Bush

Chris is an experienced substance abuse counsellor with nine years of experience and eight years specifically in counselling across various organisations. Chris demonstrates outstanding skills in communication, listening, and attention to detail. They have regularly conducted treatment planning as well as individual and group therapy interventions.

Chris also has the ability to support dual diagnosis clients—individuals experiencing co-morbidities such as mental or physical health issues alongside substance dependency.

They are capable of facilitating a wide range of groups and workshops, including 12-step programs, SMART Recovery, and therapeutic approaches such as CBT and DBT.

Throughout their career, Chris has held several management positions in residential rehabilitation centres, frontline addiction support services, mental health facilities, supported and assisted living environments (including those involving physical or mental health needs and challenging behaviour), as well as in frontline and temporary homeless hostel settings.
