About PCP - Addiction Clinics
The Perry Clayman Project was devised to treat drug and alcohol abuse
by incorporating the best of current day abstinence methods.
It is delivered through a Twelve Step structure in four stages of
treatment. Typical treatment spans a minimum of twelve weeks.
The programme is tailored to accommodate the needs of each patient
from initial assessment and detoxification up to graduation.
The Perry Clayman Project is an established residential centre offering
all its clients the prospect of a genuine
future and the opportunity to rebuild their
lives, move out of the problems of addiction
and into the solution of recovery and sober
living.
We appreciate that patients seek a higher degree of freedom, but
also need a high degree of support. By
sympathetic monitoring of their progress,
the slow process of repairing self-esteem,
dignity and self respect begins.
Who looks after the clients' medical needs?
Upon arrival our registered GP carries out a client examination and arranges
the most appropriate detoxification, if required.
The detoxification process covers all mood and mind altering chemicals
including opiates, stimulants, alcohol, solvents and barbiturates (prescription
or street). The client's health level is monitored regularly to ensure
there are no medical problems during this critical stage.
A full detoxification usually takes up to ten days, and we try to detoxify
as rapidly as is comfortable, since we believe the therapeutic process
cannot begin until the client is substance free.
What registration does PCP Luton have?
PCP Luton is fully compliant with the latest quality standards of performance
and employment - QUADs and DANOS - to ensure all patients receive the best
service and treatment.
